Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers
Volunteerism is alive and growing at La Paz Regional!
119-members strong, this dedicated group of men and women serve patients, families and our communities in one of four ways:
- Membership dues and donations promote hospital equipment and service expansion.
- The auxiliary thrift ship downtown sells over 100,000 gently used items each year, most for $1.00 or less. The majority of the hospital contributions from the auxiliary come from thrift shop revenues.
- The hospital gift shop offers patients, families and staff specialty and boutique items, candy, and jewelry, and most important, a kind smile and empathic conversation.
- Volunteer in a hospital department (Parker) or a clinic in Quartzsite, Bouse or Salome. Volunteers staff the information desk, assist emergency staff with patient flow and turnaround, tend gardens, deliver supplies, shred paper, stuff envelopes, talk with patients, and so many more tasks.
Join a dedicated group of people who work side-by-side with our staff supporting and supplementing the work they do, performing non-medical tasks and providing the extra patient service that La Paz Regional Hospital is known for.
