We want to inform you about an important change to our patient account statements here at La Paz Regional Hospital. Effective immediately, we will be transitioning from patient account-based statements to guarantor-based statements.

What does this mean for you?

Simply put, guarantor-based statements provide a more comprehensive view of the financial activity associated with your medical bills. Rather than only seeing information about the patient, guarantor-based statements will include all charges and payments related to the guarantor of the account. This means that if you are the primary person responsible for the account, you will see all charges and payments for all patients on the account.

How to read your new statement:

• Amount Due on the front of the statement is the total amount of all guarantor accounts.
• All balances and credits are listed on the back of the statement.
• In the account summary below balances and credits, you can choose which account your payment is applied to by circling the account number and amount.

This change will enable us to better serve our patients and their families by providing a clearer picture of account activity. Additionally, it will help us to identify any billing or insurance discrepancies more quickly, and work with you to resolve any issues.

As always, we take patient privacy and data security very seriously. Rest assured that all account information will remain confidential and only be accessible to authorized personnel.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this transition. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our billing department at 928-766-5027.

Thank you for choosing La Paz Regional Hospital as your healthcare provider.
